Computational system for activity calculation of radiopharmaceuticals

    Get PDF
The preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for distribution to several hospitals is practised widely and the transport is usually by road and plain, this is specially practised in big countries like Brazil where thedistance from one state to other is bigger than one country compared to others in continents like Europe. The purpose of this paper is to describe a computational system developed to evaluate the dose of radiopharmaceuticals during the production until the final receptor (hospital)

We present in this work secondary catalogs up to mVal13m_{Val} \sim 13 based on the Tycho reference frame (ESA, 1997) for 12 selected low-extinction fields towards the galactic bulge. The observations have been performed with the Askania-Zeiss Meridian Circle equiped with a CCD camera, located at the Abrah\~ao de Moraes Observatory (Valinhos, Brazil) and operated by the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, S\~ao Paulo University. The presented catalog, though not complete, has been designed to help in intensive search programmes (e.g. microlensing and variable searches) and therefore the selected standards have a high astrometric and photometric (VV band, approximately) quality. The mean precisions obtained were 0.0018s0.0018^{s} in α\alpha, 0.013'' in δ\delta, 0.030 for the standard deviation in magnitude and 0.0042 for the magnitude when weighted with the error bars in each night (in the mean, 42 stars for the catalog of each window). Tables B.1 to B.12 are also available in eletronic form at the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or via http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/Abstract.html.Comment: 16 pages, 6 figures, A&A Latex style. Intensive monitoring of low-extinction windows towards the galactic bulge has provided in the last years valuable information for studies about the dynamics, kinematics and formation history of this part of the galaxy, mainly by characterizing the bulge stellar populations (Paczy\'nski, 1996). Since 1997, we have been conducting an intensive photometric-astrometric survey of the galactic bulge, with the monitoring of about 120000 stars in 12 windows uniformly distributed in galactic latitude and longitude (Blanco & Terndrup, 1989 e Blanco, 1988) never before submitted to this kind of survey. For this purpose, we have used the IAG/USP CCD Meridian Circle of the Abrah\~ao de Moraes Observatory. The main objective of this work is the identification and classification of variable objects. In this work we present the set up and development of the necessary tools for a project like this and the posterior analysis of our data. We briefly describe the construction of a program to organize and detect variables among the observed stars, including real time alerts (for variations greater than 0.3 magnitudes). The preliminary analysis after the processing of 76 nights of observation yielded 479 variable stars, from which 96.7 % of them are new. We discuss the preliminary classification of this variables, based on: a) the observed amplitude of variation; b) the shape of light curve; c) the expected variable classes among our data and d) the calculated periods, whenever possible. Finally, we discuss the future perspectives for the project and for the applications and analysis of the discovered variable stars.Comment: 10 pages, 14 figures. Accepted by A&A

A family of graded epistemic logics

Multi-Agent Epistemic Logic has been investigated in Computer Science [Fagin, R., J. Halpern, Y. Moses and M. Vardi, “Reasoning about Knowledge,” MIT Press, USA, 1995] to represent and reason about agents or groups of agents knowledge and beliefs. Some extensions aimed to reasoning about knowledge and probabilities [Fagin, R. and J. Halpern, Reasoning about knowledge and probability, Journal of the ACM 41 (1994), pp. 340–367] and also with a fuzzy semantics have been proposed [Fitting, M., Many-valued modal logics, Fundam. Inform. 15 (1991), pp. 235–254; Maruyama, Y., Reasoning about fuzzy belief and common belief: With emphasis on incomparable beliefs, in: IJCAI 2011, Proceedings of the 22nd International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, July 16–22, 2011, 2011, pp. 1008–1013]. This paper introduces a parametric method to build graded epistemic logics inspired in the systematic method to build Multi-valued Dynamic Logics introduced in [Madeira, A., R. Neves and M. A. Martins, An exercise on the generation of many-valued dynamic logics, J. Log. Algebr. Meth. Program. 85 (2016), pp. 1011–1037. URL http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.jlamp.2016.03.004; Madeira, A., R. Neves, M. A. Martins and L. S. Barbosa, A dynamic logic for every season, in: C. Braga and N. Martí-Oliet, editors, Formal Methods: Foundations and Applications – 17th Brazilian Symposium, SBMF 2014, Maceió, AL, Brazil, September 29-October 1, 2014. Proceedings, Lecture Notes in Computer Science 8941 (2014), pp. 130–145. URL http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-15075-8_9]. The parameter in both methods is the same: an action lattice [Kozen, D., On action algebras, Logic and Information Flow (1994), pp. 78–88]. This algebraic structure supports a generic space of agent knowledge operators, as choice, composition and closure (as a Kleene algebra), but also a proper truth space for possible non bivalent interpretation of the assertions (as a residuated lattice).publishe

[Somatic Cell Count and Chemical composition of the milk after the use of the Kit Embrapa de Ordenha Manual® for dairy goats]. Abstract: The northeast region of Brazil has great potential for the production of goat milk, and the quality of the milk produced is important to ensure the supply of safe food from a nutritional and sanitary standpoint to consumers. The Kit Embrapa de Ordenha Manual® have been developed with the aim of contributing to the safe production of milk, by a low-cost technology, within the reach of family farmers, which are largely responsible for the production of goat milk in Brazil. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the Kit Embrapa de Ordenha Manual® in the composition and somatic cell count (SCC) of goat milk produced in 60 family farming, on properties located in the states of Ceará, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte. The average percentage of lactose in the three regions studied was below the limit established by Brazilian legislation. After the implementation of the Kit, in the properties studied, the composition of the milk was preserved. It was found 64% of properties with counts exceeding 1,000,000 CS/mL before the adoption of the kit, highlighting the need for the implementation of best practices of milking on the properties. However, no changes were detected in SCC after using the Kit. The high levels of Somatic Cell Count (SCC) observed, suggest the need for further studies in order to establish the limits or ranges for the goat milk
